A Brief History About Us
Skyline Helicopters was established in 1996 with the purchase of our first Bell 212 Helicopter. We currently operate a fleet of three Bell 212HPs (four VFR and one IFR) and two Agusta A119s from our main base in Kelowna BC as well as satellite bases in Terrace, Edson and Billings. Our objective is to provide extremely safe yet highly efficient services to our customers through innovation, training, and technology.
Our Flight Crew has a broad range of high altitude mountain flying experience in challenging environments. We have been specializing in Vertical reference longline Mountain Operations for over 13 years and have more than 100,000 flight hours of combined accident free flying experience within the company.
Specializing in Vertical reference and mountain operations, our crews are recognized throughout the industry for their expertise. Our team of Pilots and Engineers are also recognized for outstanding achievements in Flight & HSSE Safety by various Industry groups including the Helicopter Association International which has awarded eight of our pilots for 5,000, 10,000 and 15,000 hours of accident and violation free flying.
In 2006 we were pleased to introduce to the Canadian Market the Agusta 119 Koala. This aircraft is proving to be extremely successful with our customers in the Oil & Gas, Mining, Heli-Ski, and Forest industries. Skyline has since become the first Augusta Westland Service Center in Canada.
